The Program specializes in cost effective strategies to reduce hazardous materials and waste generation, conserve water and energy, minimize air emissions, and maintain compliance with environmental requirements. The program provides training, on-site consultation, assistance over the phone and through its website and publications.

Title 24, California’s Energy Efficiency Standards for Residential and Nonresidential Buildings.

The California Green Builder program Guidelines were updated in 2005 to expand its applicability throughout California, address changes in Title 24 – the California energy code, and incorporate measures from other residential green building initiatives such as the California Green Builder program, National Association of Home Builders guidelines, and the pilot draft LEED for Homes checklist.

ENERGY STAR Qualified Homes, Thermal Bypass Inspection Checklist. response to significant changes in residential energy codes and standards, the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) released a new set of guidelines for ENERGY STAR qualified homes, to be implemented in 2006.
