{"id":2554,"date":"2010-08-10T10:23:36","date_gmt":"2010-08-10T17:23:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/unrbep.org\/?p=2554"},"modified":"2010-08-10T10:23:36","modified_gmt":"2010-08-10T17:23:36","slug":"led-lighting-retrofit-to-save-hawaii-hospitals-1-2m","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/unrbep.org\/dealerportal\/led-lighting-retrofit-to-save-hawaii-hospitals-1-2m\/","title":{"rendered":"LED Lighting Retrofit to Save Hawaii Hospitals $1.2M"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hawaiipacifichealth.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Hawai\u2019i Pacific Health<\/a><\/strong> (HPH), comprised of four nonprofit hospitals and 44 outpatient clinics and service sites, expects to save more than $1.2 million thanks to a LED lighting retrofit across its facilities.<\/p>\n<p>The switch to LED lighting at its four hospital facilities also will help reduce HPH\u2019s carbon emissions by 465,324.65 pounds per year from just the parking garages alone, according to <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pacificecolights.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Pacific Eco-Lights<\/a><\/strong>, which is supplying the LED lighting.<\/p>\n<p>HPH expects to recover the cost of the conversion through energy bill savings in 15 months due to Eco-Light\u2019s Seesmart LED technology, which is said to use 50 percent to 90 percent less electricity than a standard light bulb or compact fluorescent light bulb (CFL).
