But there&#8217;s a bit of confusion about just how <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mnn.com\/eco-glossary\/green-cleaning\">green cleaning<\/a> for hospitals\u00a0should be carried out.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, a number of organizations offer guides to green cleaning in hospitals including <a href=\"http:\/\/practicegreenhealth.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Practice Greenhealth<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.noharm.org\/us_canada\/reports\/2011\/nov\/rep2011-11-01.php\" target=\"_blank\">Health Care Without Harm<\/a>. But there are no industry-wide standards that administrators can use to determine the plan that will be beneficial for their particular facilities.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.healthdesign.org\/chd\/research\/green-cleaning-healthcare-current-practices-and-questions-future-research\" target=\"_blank\">A recent report<\/a> by the Health Care Research Collaborative notes that more studies are needed to determine the ways in which green cleaning for hospitals affect cleanliness and infection transmission.
