The Nevada Division of Environmental Protection is proposing to modify state hazardous waste regulations NAC 444.8618 through NAC 444.8633. The proposed amendments to Nevada’s existing hazardous waste regulations will:

1. Adopt by reference certain federal regulations with which a person who generates, transports, treats, stores, disposes or otherwise manages hazardous waste or used oil must comply;
2. Set forth certain specific parts and sections of federal regulations that are not adopted by reference or are adopted by reference but with certain revisions; and
3. Deem certain references in specific parts and sections of federal regulations to have certain meaning, with limit exceptions.

A workshop will be held to solicit comments on the proposed amendments on Wednesday, October 30^th at 2:30 PM.
