The Nevada Business Environmental Program at the University of Nevada, Reno has partnered with Nevada Division of Environmental Protection’s Bureau of Air Quality Planning, the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency, and the Washoe County Health District’s Air Quality Management Division to offer financial rebates to help homeowners in Northern Nevada replace old, dirty wood stoves with new, more efficient, cleaner-burning stoves. Instant rebate for the purchase of EPA-certified wood, pellet, or gas stoves are available through participating retailers in Washoe County, Carson City, and Douglas County. Funding is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
