Air Quality Permit Fees

Initial Air Quality Application Fees in Nevada

NDEP recently released a new fee schedule. In the past, the fees for each application included a straight fee for the initial application, revision, and renewal. This has changed and the new fee schedule calculates the fees for the initial application based on the number of emissions units your operation will have. For a Class I permit a new application this could be anywhere from $40,000 – $60,000. For a Class II application the fee could be anywhere from $5,000 – $30,000.  Revision and renewal permits are based on the same system.

Annual Maintenance Fees

Along with the changes to the initial application fees, there are now annual maintenance fees for the permits. Class I maintenance fees are a straight fee depending on the year. Class II permit fees are more complicated and take into account the annual tons per year that are emitted, number of emission units, and if there is any surface area disturbance.
